I’ve always liked Piet Mondrian paintings with his use of red, yellow, blue and black contrasted against a white background. This inspired me to use this method to make a map of my neighborhood.
I chose to quilt this piece with an offset to represent a city grid.. It is finished using a mitered facing method.
This wall hanging is made from 100% premium quilting cotton. Hobbs 80/20 batting is sandwiched between the layers.
Comes with a sleeve and a dowel so all you need to do is hang it on your wall.
It hung at the Southeast Fiber Arts Alliance in Atlanta, Georgia, for a solo show in February 2022.
Measurements: 18” x 18”
